Razumihin's Room

Also known as Razumihin's garret.

The room Raskolnikov thinks of as a possible refuge when he wants work or help from Razumihin. It represents a different kind of poverty from his own room: noisy, sociable, practical, and connected to work rather than isolation.

Part II, Chapter II

Raskolnikov reaches Razumihin after the murders but cannot remain, fleeing ordinary help almost as soon as he touches it.
