Plotnikov's Shop

Also known as Plotnikov’s, Plotnikov’s shop, Plotnikov's.

Plotnikov's is the largest grocery shop in the town, a place that keeps fine wines, provisions, fruit, cigars, tea, coffee, sugar, and sweets. Dmitri Karamazov rushes there after redeeming Perhotin's Pistols, ordering champagne, food, and delicacies for another dash to Mokroe. The shopmen remember his earlier spree and know exactly how to pack a lavish load for him.

X-I. Kolya Krassotkin

The shop is also a town landmark near Madame Krassotkin's house, part of the same small network of streets and gossip.

XI-VI. The First Interview With Smerdyakov

Its assistants and errands become part of the damaging witness trail around Dmitri's money and movements.
