Also known as Mr. Kalganov, Pyotr Fomitch Kalganov, young Kalganov, Panie Kalganov.

Kalganov is Miusov's young relative, brought along to the monastery in an elegant carriage. He is preparing for university but has not decided where to study, and Miusov is urging him toward Zurich or Jena. He is handsome, well dressed, awkward, thoughtful, and already friendly with Alyosha.
